Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Wave Tech (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit wavelens.online, use Wave Lens Studio (studio.wavelens.online), or integrate the Wave Lens SDK into your mobile application.

Wave Lens is a real-time camera filter product. Our design goal is simple: camera frames stay on the end user’s device whenever possible.

1. Who this policy covers

  • Website visitors — people browsing wavelens.online.
  • Customers / tenants — companies or developers who license Wave Lens for their apps and use Studio.
  • End users — people who open the camera inside a customer’s app that embeds Wave Lens.

2. Information we collect

Website

  • Standard server logs: IP address, user agent, pages requested, timestamps — used for security and reliability.
  • Messages you send us via WhatsApp or email (name, number/email, and whatever you include in the conversation).

Studio & licensing (customers)

  • Account details: contact name, email, company/app name.
  • App identifiers: Android package name (or equivalent) bound to your license.
  • Credentials we issue: client ID / client secret (stored securely for authentication).
  • Usage statistics for licensing and support: filter entitlement counts, enabled filters, approximate active-device or session counters, and last activity timestamps.
  • Billing-related correspondence for the monthly plan (currently USD 200 / month for complete access and support).

SDK / end users (in customer apps)

  • Camera frames and filter rendering are processed on-device on the end user’s phone.
  • We do not upload, store, or stream end-user video, photos, face meshes, or microphone audio to Wave Tech servers as part of normal filter operation.
  • The SDK may contact our license service to validate your app’s credentials and download filter packs you enabled. Those requests typically include app identifiers and license tokens — not the camera image.
  • Customers remain responsible for their own privacy notices to end users (camera permission, recording, streaming destinations, etc.).

3. How we use information

  • Provide, activate, and manage SDK licenses and Studio access.
  • Deliver filter packs and product updates you are entitled to.
  • Show dashboard statistics and help you configure which filters hosts see.
  • Provide customer support and integration help.
  • Process subscription / payment coordination for your plan.
  • Protect against abuse, fraud, and unauthorized use of the SDK.
  • Improve reliability and performance of Wave Lens.
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

4. Legal bases (where applicable)

Depending on your location, we rely on one or more of: performance of a contract (providing the SDK/Studio), legitimate interests (security, product improvement, answering inquiries), consent (where required), and legal obligation.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information with:

  • Hosting, CDN, email, or payment processors who help us operate Wave Lens under confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • A successor entity if Wave Tech is involved in a merger or acquisition (you would still be protected under this policy or a successor notice).

6. Retention

  • Website logs: retained for a limited operational period, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Customer account & license data: kept while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for billing, disputes, and legal needs.
  • Support messages: kept as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain service history.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect credentials and account data (HTTPS, access controls, least-privilege practices). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please keep your Studio password and client secret confidential.

8. International transfers

Wave Tech may process data on servers outside your country. Where required, we take steps appropriate to the transfer (contractual safeguards with processors, etc.).

9. Your choices & rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity and, for tenant data, confirm you are authorized for that account.

10. Children

Wave Lens is offered to businesses and developers. Our website and Studio are not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Customer responsibilities

If you embed Wave Lens, you must obtain any camera (and related) permissions required by platform policy and law, and disclose to your end users how your app uses the camera, recordings, and live streams. Wave Lens does not replace your app’s privacy obligations.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be noted in Studio or by email to account contacts.
